Try-Out Information

Love soccer?  Want a chance to practice and play year-round (indoor and outdoor) with some of the best players in the Lebanon Valley?  Travel nearby to play teams from around Central PA?   Play in Tournaments? Indoor soccer over the winter?

LebCo United was founded to give Lebanon County girls a chance to take their game to the next level without wasting time and $4 a gallon gas driving to Lancaster, Hershey or Reading to practice.

This is NOT a replacement for your fall club play. We highly encourage all the girls to continue playing for your home club. We will make every effort to have practices arranged around your club schedules and travel games will be played on Sunday afternoons.

The coaching staff is an all volunteer team to help further reduce the cost of participation. Kevin Laicha, Coach of Player Development, holds both a NSCAA National Diploma and a USSF  National “D” License, and has many years experience coaching girl's soccer. Coach Laicha is also a girl's coach at ELCO MS. The club has several experienced coaches in Randy Hoffman, Dave Lantz, Frank Fiorentino and Dan Shiner.

Don't see a team that fits your age or gender? We encourage coaches in the area to get involved and start a new team. We can provide assistance if needed to get you started.

Anyone interested in playing for our U11 ( born after 7/31/97) or U13 ( born after 7/31/95 ) Girls teams are invited to try-out. Please call Kevin Laicha at 273-5356 or fill out the form below and we will contact you promptly.

  Information about our teams:

- The cost will be approximately $325 per year. This will cover indoor league play, gym rental during the winter months, spring and fall registration, 4 tournaments and other misc costs. There are NO TRAINING FEES. The coaching staff is volunteering their time. You will also need to purchase a uniform and it will be yours to keep. The cost should be about $60 ($40 for youth sizes) and will be a one time purchase.

- If you are eligible to play intramural next year, you can still play with your intramural team, however the LVYSL does limit each team to 6 travel players.

- At this point we will use the Rising Star facilities. We may decide to use other facilities in the future if they are available.

- All outdoor and indoor games will be played on Sunday afternoons, however the indoor schedule may change depending on the locations we play. This could be either In-The-Net, Lanco Fieldhouse or Sports City in Lingelstown.

- Outdoor game will be played within a 60 minute drive and our home game will be played at Rising Star for now.

- Indoor practice will be once a week during the winter months.

- Outdoor practice will be twice a week during the Spring and Fall.

- While we will play/train on a year round basis, our primary season is in the fall. At other times soccer may give way to other sports. What is important for the player who participates in other sports like basket-ball, etc is their ability to mix soccer with other sports during those months.

- LEBCO United will not roster any secondary players and we would expect our players do not do the same.

- There is no guaranteed playing time. Each player must earn game time and some players will play more then others.
